Thomas E. Donahue
Thomas E. Donahue, 88, of 209 West Broadway, died at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday at NHE Friendship House after a six-weeks illness.
Mr. Donahue, a native of Garrard County, was a member of the board of directors of Southern States Cooperative, member of board of directors of Farm Bureau and member of Holy Named Society. He was a retired farmer and veteran of World War I.
He was born June 22, 1889. He belonged to SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and was married to Mary Craig Donahue, who died in August.
Surviving Mr. Donahue are two daughters, Martha Donahue of Mansfield, Pa. and Mrs. Lloyd A. (Agnes) Swanson of DeWitt, N.Y.; one brother. Dan Donahue of Danville; one sister, Mrs. T.O. Nolan of Danville; three grandchildren, and 12 nieces and nephews including Mrs. Charles (Rita) Decker, John R. Lynch Sr., Daniel J. Lynch Jr., James Noland and Thomas 0. Noland Jr., all of Danville. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church by the Rev. James Graf. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
Rosary was said by members of the parish this afternoon at Stith Funeral Home.
Friends may call at the funeral home.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of a donation to a favorite charity.
