Alton Leon Phenis 80, of Riverview, died Friday. He had lived in the area for the past three years, coming from Wolcuttville, Ind. He was a retired farmer.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth; two sons, Carl of Goshen, Ind., and Claude of Selna, Ind.; his daughter, Louise Mason of Riverview; three brothers, Donald of Brandenton, Warren of Richmond, Ind., and Chester of Seattle; four sisters, Iva Burelison of Winchester, Ind., Rhea Underwood of Cambridge City, Ind., Erma Schweizer of Richmond and Leila Grubbs of Cambridge City; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
