Lindell was the son of Howard and Carrie (Beasley) Parks. He married Marcheeta Parks on July 1, 1985 in Indiana, and she survives. He worked for LeHigh Cement Company retiring after 30 years. He served in the United States Army as a part of the Military Police. Other survivors include son, Kenny Parks of Hammond, Indiana; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Kimberly Parks of Portage, Indiana; son, Bryan Parks of Venice, Florida; daughter and son-in-law, Joi and Ralph Rodriguez of Crown Point, Indiana; son, Daryl Parks, PhD and his wife, Wendy of Woodbury, Minnesota; step-sons, Joey Dale and Beth Clark of West Frankfort, and Jerrod Clark of Johnston City; grandchildren, Aleisha, Jeremiah and Jacob Rodriguez, Ashley and Joshua Parks, Ryan, Randy and Brandon Parks, Emma Joi and Elijah Parks, Kyle and Brent Disterheft, Alissa and Ethan and Jimmy Jackson; sister and brother-in-law, Emma Jean and Bill McDonald of Marion; brother and sister-in-law, Carol and Pauline Parks of Gary, Indiana; and his miniature Schnauzers, Gracie and Mollie.
