Joe Weldon Evans was the son of Paul Evans and Evelyn Mae Scribner. Joe served in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1962. He also served 29 years with the Dallas Police Department and 15 years as a deputy sheriff for Dallas county courts. Joe was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Lynda Katenkamp. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Doris Evans; daughters, Erika Evans and Kristi Foster and husband Bryan; grandson, Conner Joseph Foster; and numerous other family members.
