GOETTEE Marion Lee Goettee, World War II Veteran, 89, passed away June 5, 2005. He was raised in Savannah, Georgia, but settled in Jacksonville after he was discharged from the military. Mr. Goettee retired from Ford Motor Company in December of 1980 after 35 years of service. He was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church. Marion was preceded in death byhis wife, Verna Angeline. Survivors include his two sons, Michael J. Goettee of Atlanta, Georgia and David L. Goettee, D.D.S. (Patricia) of Acworth, Georgia; granddaughters, Allison Newton of Duluth, Georgia and Elizabeth Goettee of Marietta, Georgia; and a great-granddaughter, Emma Newton of Duluth, Georgia. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 8th, at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 4115 Hendricks Avenue. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday (today) at the funeral home.
