Daughter of Patrick Barry & Deborah Smith. Eleanors father sailed ships. He was sailing to Nova Scotia and other islands when Eleanor was born. Records only say she was born in Ontario Canada --- but it is likely to have been while on ship or sailing from home.
She married Solomon Sanford on 13 March 1827 in York, Ontario, Canada. They moved to Pike, Illinois where Solomon died. Eleanor lived with her children and is believed to have died in Missouri. I think she died in Scotland County Missouri living with her son Ephraim Sanford.
Her daughter Jane did her mothers LDS temple work in 1877; so she had died by then!

For anyone researching the Patrick Barry and Deborah Smith family, on the Library and Archives Canada site on-line there is a land petition for Patrick Barry Sr. (the date on the petition looks like it's 1811) and attached to it is the petition by his son Thomas (petition date 1819). The petition can be downloaded. The petition tells Patrick's life story and tracks his movements after his arrival in America reel # is c-1625 and page number is 549
