He was born April 5, 1988, in Lima to James and Peggy Ickes Deal.
His father and stepmother, Melissa Deal, survive in Wapakoneta.
His mother also survives in Wapakoneta.
David was a sophomore at Wapakoneta Senior High School. He was a member of the Future Farmers of America. He enjoyed music and played the guitar and drums at the same time.
Survivors also include a brother, Jamie Deal of Wapakoneta; a sister, Carey (Chris) Zaborowicz of Largo, Fla.; a half sister, Amber (Mike) Holbrook of Lima; a stepsister, Amalie Cummins of Wapakoneta; maternal grandparents, Dale and Helen Carlson and John and Loraine Ickes, all of Wapakoneta; and several friends.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandmother, Marjorie Deal.
Services will begin at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, Wapakoneta. The Revs. Jeanette Rode and Rich Biclawski will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery, Wapakoneta.
