ANTWERP -- Stella R. Schomburg, 63, Antwerp, died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2006, at her home.

She was born Dec. 6, 1943, in Antwerp, the daughter of Fred and Gertrude (Newsome) Rister. In 1971, she married Harry Schomburg, who survives. She worked in data processing at Admar in California and was a nurses aid in Paulding. She also served in the U.S. Marines as a corporal from 1969-1971.

Also surviving are five stepsons, Mark of Oklahoma, Tom and Jerry, California, Tim, Florida and and David, Hicksville; a sister, Eunice Bell, Antwerp; a brother, Robert Rister, Antwerp; and 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; three stepsons, Dennis, Jim, and Joe; and two brothers, Dewey and Tyrone.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp, with Deacon Robert Nighswander officiating. Burial will be in Maumee Cemetery in Antwerp, with military rites by Antwerp VFW Post 5087. Visitation is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
