Simpson Baker, 81, Dies at Carrier Mills

Simpson Baker, 81, died suddenly at 9:45 a.m. today at his residence in Carrier Mills. The body has been received by the Miller funeral home, and no arrangements have been made.

He is survived by his wife, Stella, and three children, Mrs. Chrystal Collier, Evansville, Ind., Mrs. Lee White, Carrier Mills, and Harold Baker, Carrier Mills.

Simpson Baker Rites at Carrier Mills Sunday

The funeral of Simpson Baker, who died yesterday morning at his residence in Carrier Mills, will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Carrier Mills Baptist church. Rev. Earnest Ammon will officate, and burial will be in the Salem Cemetery.

The pallbearers will be James Beggs, Victory Hall, James Hall, Harry Martin, Donold Hall, and Robert Mugge.
The body now lies in state at the residence.
