George married Pennymerle Fikes in 1928 and although they were never blessed with children, they seemed to have a wonderful and loving marriage. George ran a large farm and had an artistic bent - he made some artistic sculptures from parts that were very interesting. George and Pennymerle were two kind and gentle souls that are very much missed.
