S. C. Allen was born October 17, 1925 in Hunt County, Texas to Simon C. & Alice Pearl (Cross) Allen. S. C. was retired from Freeman Olds & Mazda in Irving. He was a member of Lancaster Masonic Lodge & Eastern Star; a member of the First Christian Church for 50+ years; an Army veteran of WW II. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife Beatrice; daughters Beverly Allen Ebaugh, Saundra Allen; step-son Steve Burkhart. He is survived by his wife Opal Allen; daughter Donna Barboza & husband Steve; step-son Tim Burkhart; step-daughters Debra Tarpley, Lori Ferguson, Margie Bailey; 2 grandchildren Christie Daniels & Rick Ebaugh; 11 step-grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren. A great grandson (Christopher Baugus) is proudly serving our country in the U.S.Army in Korea. Visitation Friday 6-8 at the funeral home. Funeral service 2:00 PM Saturday in Byrum Funeral Chapel. Interment in Edgewood Cemetery. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Faith Presbyterian Hospice, 4350 Sigma Road, Suite 400, Dallas, TX 75244. www. byrumfuneralhome.com
