Miles Minton McClintock was 11th child of Robert Ervin and Mary Jane (Willhite) McClintock. He married Idella Martin on 20 Oct 1897 at her father, John D. Martin's home at Fitts Hill in Franklin County, IL. Miles was a farmer and hard-working, honest, God-fearing man. To this union 6 children were born.

Miles died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Orval Mayer, 2205 East Elm. He was a lifelong resident of Franklin County. He had been failing in health and his condition critical for three weeks.

Surviving him besides his daughter, Mrs Lydia Mayer \ were two sons, Elmer and Ervin McClintock east of this city; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at East Fork Church with Rev. Paul Worley officiating and Rev. Arthur Boyer assisting.
