She married Eugene Allison "Jack" Byrd about 1920 and to this union were born two sons, Eugene Allison "Jack", Jr. and Robert Lee.

Mrs. Marie Byrd
San Benito - Mrs. Marie Byrd, 70 of 1621 North Reagan St., died Friday in Dolly Vinsant Memorial Hospital. She was a life long resident of San Benito. Mrs. Byrd was the widow of E.A. (Jack) Byrd, who died in 1971. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of San Benito.
Funeral arrangements are pending and will be announced by the Thomae-Garza Funeral Home.
Survivors include two sons, E.A. (Jackie) Byrd Jr., Houston, and R.L. (Bob) Byrd, San Benito; a brother, Milton Palmer, Dallas; and five grandchildren.
