SAMUEL LEE, 80, LONGTIME COLORADO CITY RESIDENT DIES
COLORADO CITY ~~ Samuel Wylie Lee, 80, Colorado City resident since 1913 died at his home after a short illness.
Mr. Lee was born December 16, 1874 in Hunt County. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Baptist Church. He married Eliza Venus December 6, 1896 in Comanche County. Mrs. Lee died November 14, 1946.
Funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday from the Oak Street Baptist Church with the Reverend Bill Austin, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Colorado City Cemetery with Kiker and Son Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Frank Dearen, Mable Lee and Georgia Lee, all of Colorado City, and Mrs. Alta Read of Vinson, Texas; two brothers, A. B. Lee of Rising Star and R. T. Lee of Yucaipa, California; two sisters, Mrs. Sally Will of Idalou and Mrs. Nettie Rankin of Rising Star; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
