John Henry Johns passed away at 77. Husband of Catherine (Taube) Johns for 55 years, father of David Johns [Julie Merriman], Eileen Bradley [J. Keith], Elaine Gasaway [John], Christopher Johns [Susan], Matthew Johns, father-in-law of Debra Johns, 11 grandchildren & 6 great-grandchildren. Mr. Johns was a teacher with the Waterford Township School District for 32 years & was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a long time active member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, where he enjoyed singing in the choir & serving as a lector. After retirement, Mr. Johns appeared as an actor in the movie Gran Torino, as well as performed voice-overs, character voices, & narrations.
