Luther Wells, 69, RR 1, Albany, died unexpectedly Sunday at the residence of a friend near Gaston. He was a retired city employe and a member of the First Pilgrim Holiness Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Robert Thompson, Albany, Mrs. Mary Tuck, Noblesville, and Mrs. Mildred Lee, Middletown, N.Y.; a son, Luther Wells, Jr.; three step-sons, Mearl Keppler, Muncie, Rolland Keppler, St. Petersburg, Fla., and Charles Blaine Keppler, Fort Wayne; 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Liza Gilland, Muncie; and a brother, Albert Combs, Montpelier.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the First Pilgrim Church with Rev. T.J. Preusz officiating. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Tuesday.
