OBITUARY: The Shreveport Times, Shreveport LA, 23 Feb 1984 (Thursday)
Sarepta, LA. Services for Mr. Noel Barwick Harper, 77, of Sarepta, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday Feb. 24 at the New Sarepta Baptist Church. Dr. Richard May will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Guy Murphrey. Burial: Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Plans are under the direction of Bailey Mortuary in Springhill, La.
Mr. Harper, a native of Crowville, La. and a resident of Sarepta for 42 years, died Wednesday Feb. 22, 1984, at the Bossier Medical Center. He was a retired merchant.
He is survived by his wife, Erabelle Andrews Harper of Sarepta; one son, William H. "Buddy" Harper of Montegut, La.; one daughter, Laveta H. DeMoss of Benton, La.; one brother, Quillie M. Harper of Vincentown, N.J.; one sister, Marie H. Speiden of Princeton, N.J.; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Edgeman, R.C. Cox Jr., Harold Newsom, Wiley Corley, Richard Griffin and E.L. Edwards.
