L. L. Bedford, the only child of M. V. Bedford, was born at Ladonia, Texas in 1876. When he was two years old the family moved to Brown County, where he lived until he was 21, then he removed to Jones County, where he spent five years, during which time he was married to Mabel Redman. In 1903 he moved to Mitchell County, near Loraine, where he now resides. In 1897 he accepted Christ, being baptized by F. G. Ribble. For five years he has been preaching the truth as revealed in the Bible. ---Gospel Preachers Who Blazed the Trail by C.R. Nichol, p. 15.

He married Bettie Mable Rodman (1885-?) September 14, 1902 at Noodle, Jones County, Texas. His second marriage was to Elizabeth McBeffard. His parents were: Martin Valentine Bedford (1842-1919) and Sarah Elizabeth Short (1856-?).
