Services for Opal Talitha Copeland, 83, Ada, are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Richard Connelly officiating. Graveside services are 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the City of Lubbock Cemetery, Lubbock, Texas.
Mrs. Copeland died March 12, 2000, at a Stratford nursing facility. She was born June 8, 1916, in Hardeman, Texas, to Hade and Mary Stewart Watson.
She graduated from Williams High School inn Texas. She had returned to the Ada area from the Quanah and Lubbock, Texas areas in 1995. She was a homemaker and active in the Berkeley United Methodist Church during the 16 years she lived in Austin, Texas.
She married Basil Webb June 19, 1936. He died Dec. 10, 1960. She married George Copeland on March 18, 1963. He died Dec. 16, 1974.
Survivors include a son, Burl Webb, Ada; two stepdaughters, Dot Morris and Mattie Lou Wood, both of Waxahachie, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
Criswell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
