Earl L. "Brownie" Rexroad, age 83 of Ireland, WV, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2011 at his home. He was born December 24, 1927 at Ingo, Lewis County, WV. He is preceded in death by his parents, James A. and Retta Mae Crawford Rexroad; 4 brothers, John, Guy, Hank and Jim Rexroad and 2 sisters, Mabel Tribbey and Maxine Holden.

Brownie is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn "Tootie" McCartney Rexroad; his sister, Irene Spangler and husband, Joe of Salem, VA and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Rexroad was a farmer and had worked at Grafton Coal Company and Wagner and Smith Electric Company. He was a Methodist by faith and had been a Corporal in the US Army.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Saturday, February 12, at the Alkire Funeral Chapel in Ireland, where services will be held at 1:00 pm, Sunday, February 13, 2011 with the Rev. Donald Elmer officiating. Burial will follow at the Kincaid Cemetery.
