Theda B. (Hess) Reed

Theda B. (Hess) Reed 93, of 2800 Locust St., Dudley, died at 1 a.m. Monday, April 6, 2009, at Pennknoll Village, Everett.
Born March 26, 1916, in Dudley, she was a daughter of the late Mearl and Ada (Dick) Hess. She married Delton Reed, who preceded her in death Jan. 25, 1977.
Mrs. Reed is survived by a niece, Patty Wise and husband, Jay, Dudley, who was reared in the Reed home; two sisters and a brother, Ruth Higgs, Florida; Betty McGhee, Dudley; and Kenny Hess, Manns Choice.
She is also survived by two great-nieces, Jodie Kormanski and husband, John, and sons, Jay T. and Ben, all of Saxton; and Amy Baker and husband, Jabin, and son, Dain, all of Dudley.
She was preceded in death by by three brothers and a sister, Paul, William and Don Hess and Ethel Reidel.
Mrs. Reed was a member of the Dudley United Methodist Church.
She was primarily a homemaker.
A memorial service will be held at the Dudley United Methodist Church, Washington St., Dudley, at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 11, with Pastors Barb Berg and Tom McGhee officiating. Interment will be made in the Dudley Protestant Cemetery.
At Mrs. Reed's request, no viewing or visitation will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Home Nursing Agency Hospice, 227 Hospital Drive, Suite 2, Everett, PA 15537.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home, Broad Top City.
