Anna Lee Smith, 48, of Rt. 5, Harrisonburg died Tuesday evening at her home. She had been in failing health since July.
Mrs. Smith was born Sept. 23, 1938, in Rockingham County and was a daughter of Turner E. Hess of Rt. 5, Harrisonburg and the late Pauline Brown Hess.
Mrs. Smith had lived her entire life in the Dale Enterprise community and was a member of Mount Clinton
United Methodist Church.
On Aug. 16, 1958, she married William D. Smith, who survives.
Surviving, in addition to her husband and father, are a foster daughter, Lanora Troxell of Harrisonburg, and a sister, Doris H. Whitmore of Harrisonburg.
A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday in Mount Horeb United Methodist Cemetery by the Revs. Michael Snider and Barbara Rhodes.
The body is at the McMullen Bridgewater Funeral Home, where
the family will receive friends 7-8 p.m. Thursday.
