Pamela Lee Overby Potter, 66, of Moncks Corner, SC, a retired fourth grade teacher at Berkeley Intermediate School, died Monday morning in a North Charleston hospital.

Her funeral will be 2:00 PM Thursday afternoon, Nov. 3, 2011, at the graveside in Oak Hill Cemetery, 684 Broughton Rd., Moncks Corner, SC. Interment will follow. The family will receive friends at DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER, from 5:00 until 7:00 PM this Wednesday evening. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place. Memphis, TN 38105.

Mrs. Potter was born July 25, 1945, in Kingstree, SC, a daughter of Floyd Lee Overby and Clara Wilbur Coskrey Overby. She was a graduate of Manning High School and received her Bachelor's degree from Lander University. She was a member of the Moncks Corner United Methodist Church and enjoyed collecting antiques and artwork. Mrs. Potter was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Surviving are, her husband, Jay B. Potter, Jr.; a daughter, Amelia Louise Potter of Moncks Corner; a son, Jay B. "Burt" Potter, III, of Moncks Corner; a sister, Barbara Gayle Holliday and her husband, Louis, of Beaufort; and two nephews, GSGT Jeffrey Lee Holliday and Louis A. Holliday, III.
