Connie K. Hayes, age 60, of Kennewick, Washington passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2011, at Kennewick General Hospital surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born in Ottumwa, Iowa, on April 27, 1951. She moved to the Tri-Cities in 1978. Connie was married to Gary D. Hayes on January 24, 1989. Her greatest joy was being a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to so many. Connie's kindness was contagious, and her beauty and love continues to fill everyone who knew her with love.
Connie worked as a stylist and Aesthetician for 42 years, owning her own salon for the past 17. Connie took such pride in her career; she was given a gift of style and shared great friendships with all of her clientele. Connie served as a member of the Tri-Cities Optimist Club since 1996, her love for giving back to the community gave her great joy. Connie's passions were fishing with her husband and family, camping, traveling, reading and spending time with her family and friends. Connie loved adventures and had a true zest for life.
Connie is preceded in death by twin sons Eric and Arron Hayes, and her Father Myron J. Davis.
She is survived by her husband Gary D. Hayes, son Daniel J. Davis, Daughter and Son-in-law Lareena and Bill Roberson, Son and fiance Kelly Hayes and Do Albert, daughter Mia Hayes, Grandsons Chance and Chayce Davis, Sisters, Alta Fleming and Lorrie Davis and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home November 4, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. Please join us for a celebration of life potluck immediately following the service. A viewing will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on November 2, 2011, at the funeral home. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Tri-Cities Optimist Club at Hapo Community Credit Union. Our family would like to send a special thank you to all of the doctors, ICU nursing staff, and all others who cared for her at Kennewick General Hospital. We will never forget the kindness and love Connie and our family received.
