Funeral service for Melba Jean Jackson Chenault, 88, of Moulton will be Friday, October 28, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Steve Ledbetter and Bro. C.G. Reding officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Chenault, who died, Tuesday, October 25, 2011, at NHC Healthcare of Moulton, was born January 28, 1923, in Lawrence County to William Henry Jackson and Annie Penola McCarty Jackson. She was retired as a real estate insurance sales agent for Gordon Agency. She was a member of Enon Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Red" Chenault; one son, Jackie Chenault; eight brothers and sisters.

Survivors include two daughters, Donna Steadman and Michelle (Keith) Latham, both of Hatton; three grandchildren, Tabitha Terry and Holly (Darrell) Rutherford, both of Hatton, and Bradley Latham of Moulton; and four great-grandchildren, Riley Terry, Steadman Rutherford, Mason Rutherford and Brodie Terry, all of Hatton.

Pallbearers are Darrell Rutherford, Keith Latham, Bradley Latham, Steadman Rutherford, Mason Rutherford, Riley Terry and Brodie Terry.
