Funeral services for Alice May Jones were held Monday at Overton United Methodist Church with Pastor Larry Ramsey officiating. Burial was in Overton Cemetery with Overton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. She was born on August 22, 1896 in Lexington to Matthew William and Lulu Angeline (Myers) Hunt. She passed away on October 7, 1977 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. She married Hugh Alvin Jones on September 22, 1931. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her brothers, Herbert Henry Hunt and Matthew William Hunt, Jr. She is survived by her step-children, Thomas Jones and Lois Ramatzke; three step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
