Pauline Ione Mortensen 1934 - 2008
Pauline Ione (Cuny) Mortensen went home to be with the Lord on June 28, 2008, while living with her youngest daughter, Yvette, and husband, Bill Puhl, in Craig. She was born Feb. 9, 1934, in Pine Ridge, S.D.
She is survived by eight children, Janel Mortenses of Williston, N.D., Davie Mortensen of Grand Junction, Denice (Tim) Garcia of Leadville, Clifford (Veronica) Mortensen of Leadville, Julie (Richard) Garcia of Leadville, Chris (Hazel) Mortensen of North Pole, Alaska, and Carl (Monica) Mortensen of Idaho Springs; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, two brothers, five sisters and many nieces and nephews. She loved taking care of her family and was a great cook.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, Clinton Marley, and son Daniel Owen; her parents Adolph and Mary (Pourier) Cuny and a sister, Loretta Phillips.
She was laid to rest July 2, 2008, in her favorite town, Buena Vista.
