Hinkle. Edgar Holden. On Sunday, May 10, 1936 at his residence, 908 C street n.e., Edgar Holten Hinkle, beloved husband of Mattie Whitman Hinkle. Funeral service will be held at his late residence, Wednesday, May 13 at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends invited.
At the time of his death, Mr. Hinkle worked as a hiring administrator for a joint project between the War Dept., the Natl. Park Service, and the Wakefield National Memorial
Association (WNMA). Mr. Hinkles job entailed hiring contractors to restore the exterior of the Washington Monument.
Mr. Hinkle passed on Sunday, May 10, 1936, which was Mother's Day. As well as his beloved wife, Mattie Cynthia, he left two grieving young children: Edgar, Jr. and Cynthia Faye Hinkle, just 10 and 4, respectively.
