Association (WNMA). Mr. Hinkles job entailed hiring contractors to restore the exterior of the Washington Monument.
Mr. Hinkle passed on Sunday, May 10, 1936, which was Mother's Day. As well as his beloved wife, Mattie Cynthia, he left two grieving young children: Edgar, Jr. and Cynthia Faye Hinkle, just 10 and 4, respectively.
