Peacefully at the Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital on Monday, February 21, 2006, in her 92nd year. Verna Jean McArthur (nee Cook) of Orillia, formerly of Coulson, beloved wife of the late Leonard McArthur. Loving mother of Gordon & his wife Muriel, Mary & her husband Paul Wilson all of Orillia, John & his wife Sharon of Spruce Grove, Alberta. Loved grandmother of Dean, Andrew, Amy and Steven (predeceased). Dear sister of Edna MacIver, Dorothy Schinnerl and predeceased by June McDougall and Jim Cook. Also predeceased by her son-in-law Calvin Vivian. Verna will be greatly missed by long time family friend Pat Manning. Family and Friends will be received at the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater Street East Orillia (705) 326-3595, on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Funeral and committal service will be held in the chapel on Saturday morning, February 25, 2006, at 11 oclock. Spring interment, Knox Cemetery, Oro. If desired, memorial donations to the Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
