Harold Wayne was born Feb. 9, 1936, in Gladewater, Texas, the son of the late J. Henry and Maggie Cagle. He was married to JoAnn Hoepfl in Breckenridge, Texas, on April 1, 1957, and they shared 54 years of marriage together. He had been a resident of Brownwood for the past 43 years and was an oilfield drilling superintendent for many years, served as a Brownwood firefighter, as well as being in the ranching business which he dearly loved.
He loved to hunt and now has gone to an eternal hunt riding his favorite horse scouting the woodlands for another trophy. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends whom loved him very much.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, JoAnn Cagle of Brownwood; his daughter, Linette Knuff and husband Rick of Dallas; two step-grandchildren, Steven Knuff and wife Halie of Austin and Melissa Collins and husband Chad of North Richland Hills; five great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Simon, Eden, Ruben, and Lexie; many nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Clovis Cagle and a sister, Betty Henderson as well as other beloved family members.
