Sarah's obituary reads:
"Dumler"
"Mrs. Sarah (Schwindt) Dumler, wife of David R. Dumler and sister of Mrs. Christina Shriwise of this city, passed away at her home in Russell, Friday morning, January 29 of a heart attack, after an illness of three days. Her age was 52 years, 1 month and 4 days.
She leaves her husband, three sons, three daughters, three brothers and three sisters. The children are, Albert and Ferdinand Dumler of the Milberger community, William E. Dumler of Wichita. Mrs. Sam Brack and Mrs. Emil Dietz of the Milberger community and Eulalia of the home, but at present attending business college at Hutchinson. The brothers are Philip, Conrad, and William Schwindt of LaCrosse, Mrs. Henry Dumler, Mrs. Christina Shriwise of Hoisington and Mrs. Lydia Norton of Spokane, Washington.
Mrs. Dumler was the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Schwindt to whom eight children were born, one daughter dying in infancy. Her father died when she was seven weeks old and her mother passed away when she was 13 years old. She was baptized and raised in the faith of the Methodist Church until she was married at the age of 17 to Mr. Dumler, when she joined the Lutheran church of which she was a true and faithful member until she passed away.
Mr. and Mrs. Dumler celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary on their farm near Milberger, January 22 where they had made their home for 31 years. The last four years they lived in Russell where they had purchased a home so they could take life easier.
She was a devoted wife, mother and sister, always happy to have the other members of the family come to see her when she would make extra efforts for their comfort and pleasure. Mrs. Dumler also leaves other relatives and many friends to mourn her death."

Her second obituary reads:
"Sarah Dumler
Sarah Dumler, daughter of Conrad Schwindt and his wife Catharina nee Bloam (sic), was born at Bison, KS, December 25, 1890. On February 28, 1892, she was baptized in the Methodist church. On May 18, 1908, she joined the Missouri Lutheran church by the right (sic) of confirmation. On January 22, 1908, she was united in holy wedlock with David R. Dumler of Russell. The Lord blessed this union with six children, three sons and three daughters. After an illness of several days the departed was overtaken by a severe heart attack which resulted in her death, Friday, January 29, 10:30 a.m. at her home in Russell.
She reached the age of 52 years, one month and four days. Her departure is mourned by her husband, David R. Dumler, three sons: Albert, Ferdinand and William ; three daughters, Mrs. Elma Brack, Mrs. Ruth Dietz, and Eulalia, at home. Six grandchildren, three brothers; Philip, Conrad and William Schwindt, all of LaCrosse; three sisters; Mrs. Henry Dumler and Mrs. Christina Schriwise of Hoisington, Mrs. Lydia Norton of Spokane, Wash. The father of the departed died when she was but six weeks old. Her mother, when the departed was thirteen. For 31 years she lived with her husband on their farm near Milberger, the last four years at their home in the city of Russell.
On Sunday, January 31, at 3:00 p.m. a short service was held at the Dumler home in Russell. Thereupon the mortal remains were conveyed to the Missouri Synod Lutheran church at Milberger where the minister of the congregation spoke on Romans 12:2 and 1 John 1:7b. The choir of the congregation sang two appropriate hymns. The body was laid at rest in the Milberger cemetery."

Notice of the Funeral from the February 1, 1943 Russell Record reads:
"MRS. DAVID R. DUMLER DIES
Mrs. David R. Dumler died Friday noon at her home on East First Street following a short illness of less than a week. She was born December 15, 1890. Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the home and at 4 o'clock from the Milberger Lutheran Church with the Rev E. H. L. Frese and Deines Brothers in charge. Burial was in the Milberger cemetery."

Her funeral card reads:

Died January 29, 1943
Services 3 p.m. Sunday, January 31, 1943 from the home.
