Orville L. Isaacs, 74, died Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011, at Wheatridge Park Care Center in Liberal.

He was born May 23, 1937, to Velma Rose (Isaacs) and John Lewis Maschmeier in Beaver, Okla.

He married Reita Merritt Nov. 18, 1957, in Dodge City. She survives.

He attended Liberal High School and served in the United States Army in 1959. He retired from Panhandle Eastern Pipeline and had worked as an electrician's helper at Moudy's Electric.

He was a member of the Liberal Elks Lodge No. 1947 and had attended First Southern Baptist Church.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and bowling, and he loved to fly. He enjoyed trap shooting.

Other survivors include two sons, David Alan Isaacs, Houston, and Mark Andrew Isaacs and wife, Amy, Frisco, Texas; two daughters, Sonna Louise Pyrzewski and husband, Bill, Broken Arrow, Okla., Deborah Le Moss and husband, Joe, Hugoton; 11 grandchildren, Kristopher Musgrave, Lindsey Freeland, Shelli Donaldson, Sarah Tortorici, Stephanie McEntire, Hannah, Emma, Seth and David Pyrzewski, Ethan and Elizabeth Isaacs; 13 great-grandchildren, Iann Hayes, Aden Freeland, Avryl, Ethan, RenΓ©, Megan and Carolyn McEntire, Connor and Logan John, Wesley and Cooper Tortorici, Jack and Natalie Donaldson; and one aunt, Norma Jean Isaacs, Liberal.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

o Funeral service will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at First Southern Baptist Church with Dr. Jack Jacob presiding.

Burial will follow at the Liberal Cemetery with military honors.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday at Brenneman Funeral Home.
