Thomas Salling, 86, of Bellaire, will be remembered at a memorial service at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 10, at the Garmany annd Carden Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg. The Reverend Charles F. Sheppard will officiate.

Mr. Salling died Thursday, January 8, 1998, at his home. He was born February 14, 1911 in South Cold Springs, OK, the son of Henry Lee and Minnie Coston Salling. A former Rosenberg resident, he made his home here for 62 years. He married his wife, Nadette, in Galveston and they enjoyed 50 years together before she passed away in 1985. He was a devout Christian and a member of Braeswood Assembly of God. He was also a Mason and Shriner.

He is survived by his daughter, Jo Nell Salling of Bellaire; a brother, H.L. Salling, and a sister, Susan Lewis, both of Houston.

Family visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, January 9, at his residence, 4404 Darsey, in Bellaire.

Services are under the direction of Garmany and Carden Funeral Dirs., Inc., 1201 Fourth St. in Rosenberg. 281-342-4671.
