Edgar Dess Coe, 46, of 5818 1/2 Reiger, died Friday afternoon of a heart attack, shortly after reading the latest dispatches about warfare on the western front in France, where he served as a sergeant during the first World War and was gassed. He soldiered under Capt. S. M. Leftwich of Dallas and established an excellent military record.

Born at Newark, Arkansas, Mr. Coe had lived in Dallas for 18 years, the latter years employed in the oil industry.

Surviving are his wife, employed for twenty years in the tax department of the Southwestern Bell Telephone Company; three sisters, Mrs. J. W. Wilke, Mrs. W. E. Tulk, and Mrs. Newt Taylor; three brothers, T. H. Coe, Clint Coe, and Jock Coe, all of Muskogee, Oklahoma.
