For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 Corinthians 5:1

On Tuesday, August 9, 2011, God called our dear loved one, Natherland Louise (Faltz) Turner, to her eternal home.

Louise was born June 3, 1933, to the late Junius and Vashti Parker Faltz. She was raised in Southampton County and attended Southampton County Public Schools . She met and married the late Shirley Turner; from this union, they had 12 children. Louise was employed at Danny's Restaurant in Courtland, VA and the Village of Woods Edge in Franklin, VA., where she later retired.
Louise loved to smile and laugh. She carried joy every where she went and shared it with all who encountered her. Her faith in God was evident in her life. She loved the Lord and acknowledged Him faithfully by becoming a member of St. Luke United Church of Christ. She was the "Matriarch" of her family. She was also a strong disciplinarian. Her strength, courage, and dedication to her family were admirable qualities for all to strive for. She was always willing to sacrifice herself to help her family as well as others.
She leaves to cherish her memory her brother, Rossie Faltz of Courtland, VA.; her 12 children, Queen Elizabeth (Herbert) Bryant of Hampton, VA., Shirley Turner of Franklin, VA., Robert Turner of Petersburg, VA., John Thomas Turner of Courtland, VA., Brenda (Calvin) Smith of Franklin, VA., Diane (Robert) Myrick of Sedley, VA., Annette Hicks of Skippers, VA., Raymond (Linda) Turner of Portsmouth, VA., Melvin Turner of Sedley, VA., Jeanette (Marvin) Stith of Emporia, VA., Linwood Turner of Chesapeake, VA., and Maxine Turner of Chesapeake, VA.; a special nephew, Kenneth (Victoria) Faltz of Franklin, VA.; and a special niece, Elizabeth (William) Morgan of Suffolk, VA. She also leaves 27 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and a host of cousins, nephews, nieces, family and friends.
