She died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, in San Antonio.
Mildred was born Aug. 15, 1919, in Bell County. She was employed at several ladies clothing stores in Killeen for many years. Mildred graduated from Bangs High School in Bangs and attended Daniel Baker College in Brownwood. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and nurturing family and friends. Mildred was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She will be missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, George E. "Bert" Knoll; parents, Robert E. and Mattie Tatum; and six brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her daughter, Martha Knoll Haefling and her husband, Larry; grandson, Todd Haefling and his wife, Caroline; granddaughter, Maria Khalikov and her husband, Olimdjon; great-granddaughter, Mariska Khalikov; and several nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.
