Died in child birth. In 1918 a influenza epidemic killed many children. Emma and Isom Watson buried three children in 1918: Lillie Mae; Thelma; and T.J. The exact order of their death is unknown. What is known is that two of the three were buried on the same day. On the return trip to their home by wagon the 3rd child died and they returned to Mars Hill the same day to bury the 3rd child.
