Funeral service for Mrs. Elsie Box Hutson, age 93, of Nacogdoches, Texas will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 5, 2004 at Laird-McGill Funeral Home, with Bro. Bob Little and Rev. Dock Lazarine, officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.

Mrs. Hutson died Thursday, April 1, 2004, in Nacogdoches, Texas.

Born January 25, 1911, in Chireno, she was the daughter of Allie (Crawford) Mooney and Ben Mooney. Mrs. Hutson was a charter member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, she was a seamstress at Mize Factory and Schmidt's Department store for more than 40 years. Mrs. Hutson loved her family, church and cat (Pretty Girl). Married to Joseph Clyde Box on April 17, 1929 he preceded her in death February 19, 1941. Following his death she married Lee Emory Hutson in July 20, 1946, he preceded her in death October 18, 1995.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Dan & Ruby Hutson of Brazoria, Garland Hutson of Lufkin, Robert Hutson of Nacogdoches and Earl & Carolyn Hutson of Diboll; grandchildren, Lynette Box of Nacogdoches, Greg Hutson of Nacogdoches, Juanita Borell of Delphos, KS., Bobbie L. Hamilton of Austin, Linda Hopkins of Beaver, KS., Shanna Morris of Sugarland, Les Hutson of Houston, Noel Hutson of California; great-grandchildren, Jessica Box, Stephen Morris, Emma Grahm, Carey Bishop, Jasmine Hamilton and Allysa Hamilton.

Mrs. Hutson was preceded in death by her parents, son and daughter-in-law, Clyde & Peggy Box, twin sister Ellie Husband and a great-granddaughter Jenna Scott.

Active pallbearers will be Bill Vermeulen, Don Evans, Byron Vandover, Jimmy Hale, Tom Johnson and Jack Gardner.

Family request memorials be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church Building Fund, 2603 SE Stallings Dr., Nacogdoches, Texas, 75964.

The family will receive friends 3 until 5 p.m. Sunday, April 4, 2004 .
