Mason, Texas - Eric Lovell, 61, of Mason, Texas, formally of San Saba, passed away, Wednesday, February 13, 2008, in Austin, Texas.

He was born December 30, 1946 in Baird, TX to Albert Clay Lovell and Dorothy Fore Lovell. On June 3, 1967, Eric Morris Lovell and Vera Joyce Howard were married in Baird, Texas. Eric had a deep love for God and all His amazing creation. He served God as a pastor in Cisco, Abilene, Paint Rock, Lubbock, Pecos, Oplin, Ackerly, San Saba and Mason. He was a devoted husband and a loving father, son, and brother. Eric touched many lives in the communities in which he served because of his compassion and great love for others. Eric never met a stranger and his spirit always drew a smile to those he was around. He found joy in fishing, hunting, and early morning walks while spending time with God.

Eric is survived by his wife, Joyce Lovell of Mason, TX. Mother, Dorothy Lovell of Abilene, TX, one daughter Dana Perez and her husband Christopher of Hutto, TX. brothers Al Lovell and his wife Phyllis of Paint Rock, TX, and Bobby Lovell and his wife Gail of Clyde, TX. Several Nieces and nephews including Bryan Lovell and his wife Amanda, Amber Lancaster and her husband Bodye, Aaron, Andrea and Ashlyn Lovell, Ronnie Elliott and his wife Jesalyn, David Elliott and his wife Tammy, Gary Elliott and his wife Cathy, Jennifer Pierce and her husband Monte, Jamie Crow-Jones and several great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Lovell.

Graveside Services will be held Sunday, February 17, 2008 at 10 a.m. at the Cottonwood Cemetery in Cross Plains, TX. A Celebration of life will be held Sunday, February 17, 2008 at 2 p.m. at The Father's House located at 704 East Commerce in San Saba.

The family will receive friends at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home, Saturday, February 16, 2008, 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.
