Dr. Lora Belle Cacy was married to King Cacy on Nov. 2, 1941, in Vinita, OK. She attended Oklahoma State University, earning her B.S., M.S., and Ed.D in Home Economics Education. She taught at OSU for many years.
She was predeceased by her parents, six siblings, husband and one daughter, Linda Scott, and is survived by a daughter, Judy Brightwell, and her husband of Stillwater, 3 grandchildren and their spouses, seven great grandchildren.
Lora was a longtime member of First Baptist Church, Stillwater. She was active in many professional associations, and in the Stillwater Medical Center Auxiliary and was awarded Volunteer of the Year in 2009
by that organization.
