Albert Milton Childress, Sr. was a long-time Oklahoma grocer and vice-president of the board of directors of Affiliated Food Stores, Inc. Childress died at his ranch west of Sperry. He owned grocery stores throughout Oklahoma from 1945 until the time of his death.
A native of Bristow, Oklahoma, Childress held positions on the Affiliated Food Stores board since 1955.
Surviving are his widow, Retha, of the home; one son, Albert Milton Childress, Jr., Jenks, Oklahoma; one daughter, Donivee Jett, Tulsa; his father, William H. Childress, Tulsa; one sister, Jewell Salsman, Tulsa; one brother, William Leo Childress, Alvin, Texas; and three grandchildren.
