Theodore M. Palmer, 81, of 616 South Hackley St., died at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, following an illness of three years. He was born in Blackford County but had been a resident of Delaware County since early childhood. Mr. Palmer was a member of the Indiana Tribe of Red Men and had served as a constable for several years.
Surviving are the widow, Millie; a son, W.H. Palmer, of New Albany; four daughters, Mrs. George Reed, of Terre Haute; Mrs. William Hohn, Mrs. Henry O. Eaton, Mrs. Guy Tweedy, of Muncie; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The body will be returned from the Meeks mortuary to the home of his daughter, Mrs. Hahn, of 1201 South Beacon St., late Thursday afternoon. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Beech Grove Chapel. The Reverand Howard Cope, pastor of the Friends Memorial Church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery.
