Mr. Willard Bill Fore was born January 22, 1923 in Port Arthur, Texas to Albert Black Fore and Mae Bell Singleton. He passed away Monday, June 20, 2011 in the Houston County Nursing Home.

Mr. Fore was a skilled carpenter and worked for William Turner Construction in Crockett before starting his own construction business. He was a sergeant in the United States Army and was stationed at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, when the Japanese attacked on December 7, 1941. He met his wife Nora in Hawaii and had five children before returning to Texas. He had another son in Crockett. He resided in Crockett for 58 years.

Mr. Fore loved farming and building things in his workshop at his farm in Crockett. For many years he raised cows and quail, tended bee hives, and gardened. He was a man of many talents.

Survivors include his wife Nora of Crockett; his daughter-in-law Randa Fore of Crockett, his son and daughter-in-law Raymond and Deidra Fore of Lufkin, his daughter Lorraine Conner of Crockett, his daughter and son-in-law Winona and Don Tullos of Lovelady, his daughter-in-law Clarice Fore of Houston, and his son Robert Fore of Crockett. He had eight grandchildren- Tisha and Chad Fore, Dustin Fore, Carol Durkin, Rusty Conner, Jay Tullos, Shannon Tullos, and Adrianne Fore. His ten great-grandchildren are Chloe and Cassie Fore, Diana Durkin, Elizabeth, Madelyn and Gracie Conner, Grant and Mattie Tullos, and Ethan and Colby Tullos. He is also survived by his brother Dan Fore of Bryan and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and stepmother, a brother, three sisters, his sons John and Wayne Fore and son-in-law, Grover Conner.

Memorial services for Mr. Willard Bill Fore will be held Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel. His body was cremated and his ashes will be spread at his farm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Charity of your Choice.
