Mrs. Susie B. York
Mrs. Susie B. York, of 905 Martin Ave. died THursday at a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at noon Saturday at Powers Chapel Cemetery near Rosebud, the Rev. Stan Ortner officiating.
Mrs. York was born May 13, 1925, in Durango. She was married to James W. York in July 1941; he died April 1, 1985. She was a Pentecostal.
Survivors include seven daughters, Evelyn Mathias and Maxine Rohrs, both of Waco, Patricia Beaty of Moody, Henrietta Dunn and Pauline Dunn Biezenski, both of Bremond, Diane Downes of Reagan and Nancy Blevins of Brady; four sons, James E. York Sr., Jimmy York and John Adam York, all of Waco, and John A. York of Tucson, ARiz; two sisters Essie York of Elm Mott and Maxie Swinner of Waco; a brother, Vincent Hendrix of Bellmead; 27 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Connally-Compton Downtown Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
