Margie Lee Marshall, 87, passed away on July 7, 2011 at Beacon Hill Nursing Home in Denison. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Park Avenue Church of Christ with Rev. Jerry Hodge and Rev. Basil McClure officiating. Burial will follow in Cedarlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Bratcher Funeral Home. She was born on October 25, 1923 in Van Alstyne, the daughter of James Samuel and Cecil Ann (Haliburton) Smith. She married Cleophas Marshall on September 15, 1945 in Sherman. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brothers, Harold Edwin Smith and James Hansel "Hank" Smith; and her half brother, Carroll Dean Smith. Survivors include her son, Keith Marshall of Denison; her half brother, Tommy Lynn Smith of Van Alstyne; her half sister, Jessie Wyona Harper of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
