Mrs. Alnora A. Smith, 84, of 714 N. Walnut St., died at 2:15 p.m. Sunday at the Hamilton Nursing Home, after an illness of four months.
Born in Kosciusko County, Mrs. Smith was a resident of Muncie nearly her entire life and was a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church. She was the widow of Walter S. Smith, who died here in 1947.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Lee Wilson, Mrs. William Hopkins, and Mrs. Ernest Roberts, all of Muncie, and Mrs. Ethel Monks of Hartford City; two sons, Eldon Smith, proprietor of Foodland Supermarket, and Elmer G. Smith of Scottsburg; four sisters, Mrs. Mora Goodwin, Mrs. Oscar Grow and Mrs. Dora Smith, all of Muncie, and Mrs. Spence Myers of Middletown; 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Walnut Street Church by Dr. Randall Corkern. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at Parson Mortuary after 1 p.m. Monday.
