James Lee Box was the only child of Rev. James Amos Box and Hattie Lee Cooley. He served in World War II as a navagator in the U.S. Army Air Corps and served in the European Theatre. He married Remona Lucille Jordan on May 1, year unknown, in Rankin, Upton, Texas in the Rankin Baptist Parsonage by Rev. Wilson Akins. He and Luci had two beautiful daughters, Remona Lee and Deidra Lynne. After the death of Luci in 2003, he moved to Austin Texas to be near his daughter, Deidra Lynne. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his daughter Remona Lee Box Bourke.
