LEATHERWOOD Eva Mae, age 70, of Yukon, was called to her heavenly home on Tuesday, August 21, 2001, at Home in Yukon, OK. She was one of twin girls born June 13, 1931, in Blair, Oklahoma, to Robert Earl and Jennie (Rogers) Rector. Eva and her family came to Yukon in 1972, from Salem, Oregon. She was a seamstress for CR Anthony and the public for 27 years. She enjoyed doing seamstress work for the Police and Fire Departments of Yukon, She also loved making band and drill team uniforms for Yukon Schools. She lovingly made her Daughter-in-law Carla Haines Leatherwood's wedding dress. A devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Yukon for 29 years, Eva taught, with great love, the 4 year old Sunday School Class and was also actively involved in many other church activities and events. Her life was her family, church and friends. Her love blessed and touched many lives and she will be greatly missed. Preceded in death by her husband J.B. Leatherwood, parents, stepfather, Leland Baney and brother, George Rector. Eva is survived by five sons: Larry, Don, Terry, Burrell and Mark; six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; twin sister, Elsa Leatherwood, sister, Nona Davis and brother, Robert Rector. Memorial donations may be made to the church of ones choice. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 25, 2001, at the First Baptist Church, Yukon, OK, with interment following at the Yukon Cemetery.
