Mrs. Bessie Mae Long, 88 of Rt. 4, Rockingham died on Monday (Aug. 26, 1985). A homemaker and widow of Oscar Long she was born April 28, 1897, in Richmond County, the daughter of William A. and Nancy Bolton McDonald.

Funeral will be Wednesday afternoon at 4:00 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Rockingham, with Rev. Robert Rea, burial will be at Eastside Cemetery, Rockingham. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 at Marks Funeral Home, Rockingham.

Survived by 3 sons, Tom Long, Worth Long both of Rockingham, and Henry Long of Hamlet, 5 daughters Mrs. Ina Sellers of Laurinburg, Mrs. Nettie Crudo of Hamlet, Mrs. Audrey Olsen of Fayettevillle, NC, Mrs. Mary Killough of Rowland, NC, Mrs. Ruby Lassiter of Rockingham, 40 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters --- Mrs. Mossie Parker and Mrs. Flora Ussery, both of Rockingham, NC.
