Obituary
Little Oscar Long, Dead
Little Oscar Long Jr. was born March 23, 1916 and died May the 21st 1918. He was sick only two weeks.
Everything possible was done for his recovery but God who knows best took him to a better world. He is now with the angels. He was a sweet child and a general favorite; everybody who knew little Oscar loved him because of his beautiful disposition. The funeral service was conducted by the Pastor Rev. Mr. Hill at Mt. Olive Church where his parents have their membership. The large audience present with many tears and flowers was proof of the esteem they all had for the departed one, and of the sympathy for the heart-broken parents. While little Oscar has gone and left us, and his little vacant chair almost breaks our hearts, and we feel that his place in the home can never be filled, let us remember that he has a place in heaven where he is happy and where we can go and be with him some day. May God comfort the bereaved parents.
